Name “Satori”
“Satori” is a Buddhist word associated with enlightenment and being at one with yourself. The name was chosen as it was felt that “Satori” offers a special recipe that seems to bring out the inner voice in everyone who visits. Many say that they are able to relax and connect with themselves in a way that it is sometimes difficult in our forever busy lives.
Amanda and Ken
Amanda and Ken met in Australia in 1994, both were backpackers and met in a youth hostel. They lived in London together and moved to Cork (Kens home City) in 2000. They both run businesses but share a passion for modern architecture along the love of the great outdoors. “Satori” is their vision that combines their love of nature with their appreciation for modern design. Their interior taste combines the mix of old and new along with a wonderful collection of memorabilia from their worldly travels. Now living at “Satori” with their 3 children, Amanda, Ken and family do their best to make everyone that visits feel at home.
